Bread, a common everyday food is usually rich in Carbohydrates. Bread has been an easy food for humans for years and is a key component of many people's diets. But with health challenges rising as a result of sugar, humans have come up with more food inventions.

Low Carbohydrate bread is a type of bread which is low in Carbohydrates but high in fat and fibre. This type of bread is usually recommended for the keto diet.
Carbohydrates, primarily found in sugary foods, such as pasta and bread is responsible for weight gain. Bread usually contains refined wheat, which is relatively high in carbohydrates however, studies show that low carbohydrates bread can be made and just like low carb diets, low carb bread results in weight loss and improved health markers.

Low carbohydrate diets also referred to as keto diet have been in common use for preventing weight gain and sugar. Low carb bread also regarded as keto bread is a mixture of almond flour (or coconut flour), eggs, healthy fats and xanthan gum. Xanthan gum is a binding agent that prevents bread from crumbling so it slices like wheat bread. Gelatine Powder can be used to replace Xanthan gum.

Low carb bread often looks like normal wheat bread in texture but has about 20 times fewer carbs than regular bread. Low carbohydrate bread can also be made with substitutes for wheat. Some of these include organic grains and legumes, such as barley, millet, lentils, Soya beans and so on. Some of the processes involved in this type of bread making includes allowing the grains to sprout before the flour-milling process. It is believed that the sprouting of the grain increases the nutrients available in the bread, while also reducing the impact of the carbohydrate present.

Low carb bread which can also be regarded as keto bread can also be made with substitutes such as cream cheese, tortillas, mushrooms, lettuce  and sweet potatoes in place of wheat used in normal bread.

Finding a low-carb flour substitute that gives bread, cookies, and other baked food a great consistency is essential if you want to get creative in the kitchen. Other ingredients useful in the making of this bread include Almond,butter, ghee,Avocado oil and more. Keto Coconut Flour Bread and Keto Sesame Seed Flour Bread are other examples of low carb bread.

Some ingredients useful for Low Carb bread include: 

Coconut Oil
Almond Flour
Baking powder
Xanthan gum 
Psyllium husk powder

Most low carb bread tend to taste eggy because of the avoidance of wheat and gluten. However, making sure that the eggs are at room temperature before mixing and baking will reduce the likelihood of the bread tasting eggy.

- Whisk egg
-Cut the butter  and put in a small saucepan over low heat.
-Add the coconut oil once the butter has melted. Once the butter melts along with the coconut oil,  slowly add into the eggs while mixing on low heat.

Dry ingredients
Mix the dry ingredients, baking powder and salt together in a small bowl until well combined. Bit by bit, add to the whisked egg mixture until very thick.Oven Tips
Set oven to 180 C (355 F) and wait till it’s fully heated. Once small cracks appear on the top of the bread and the bread turns a golden brown colour, test with a toothpick to know if bread is done.

Cooling Tips

Let the bread cool on a cooling tray so that all the sides cool equally. Cooling it on a food rack will ultimately reduce the egg taste also. Low Carbohydrate bread full of healthy fats
