CHURCH MEETINGS SLOWLY GETTING BACK TO NORMALITY
Mongameli Sibanda Mongameli Sibanda

The first half of 2020 has been a testing time for the christian community. When the covid 19 pandemic came, churches also were not spared on the lockdown measure in Zimbabwe, church meetings were prohibited.

June brought relief to many christians when it was announced that churches could resume meetings if they followed measures that had been placed to reduce the spread of the Corona virus.

Sunday 5 July 2020, l noticed that many people were going to church and were happy with the new developments, such was the case at one church Prophetic Embassy Worldwide in Kuwadzana Harare. The congregants had all the required protective clothing and in the service there was joy. They said the meeting was the second one since the lockdown rules were relaxed.

Hopefully churches will take this opportune time to engage in prayer for the whole world, that all things can be normal again as encouraged by the word in the Bible (Luke 18:1-5 ;1 Thessalonians 5:17).
